Bothy

Sync your app's data between phones, computers and robots, with no server. The data stays in your users' own Google Drive, works offline, and can be end-to-end encrypted.

No server

Devices exchange files through the user’s own Google Drive. There is nothing for you to host, scale or pay for, and no account system to build.

Local first

Every device keeps a SQLite database and works offline. Edits made on different devices merge when they meet again, field by field.

End-to-end encrypted

With a password, everything on Drive is encrypted (XChaCha20-Poly1305, Argon2id). Google sees file names and sizes, never the data.

Fast when online

Devices that are online together open a direct WebRTC channel: writes arrive in about a second instead of at the next poll.

Rust, Flutter, Python, C

One Rust engine with bindings for Flutter (Android, iOS, macOS, Linux, Windows), Python and C, plus a command-line tool.

Open format

A versioned, documented on-remote format with conformance vectors, so other languages can read and write the same data.
